Barbara Kruger Recreation Reflects

a.       What do you see in this piece of art (describe it)?
In this recreation, there is a background photo of an ideal imagination of "paradise", a beach with palm trees on it and really nice water. And in the front, there is an image of a creepy stairway. Described as the opposite of most peoples paradise. I also did the font so that it stands out and I outlined the font with blue, so the blue looks like the water in the background.
.
b.      What kind of message did you try to give in this piece of art?
The message that i tried to give people in this piece of art is that every ones definition of paradise. Every ones life, goals and dreams are completely different and are never alike.
c.       Do you like or dislike this piece of art?  Why?
I like the stairway in the picture. It makes it look like you're walking towards paradise. I also like how I put the light blue colour around the text  because that colour is the same colour as the water in the background photo of "paradise". One thing that I don't like about this piece of art is the grainy texture I added. Barbara Kruger is known for the grainy texture in her photos but I think it makes the photo harder to see and realise what the message is.

Re-design Moon Lander Game Reflection

1) What aspect of your finished project do you find most successful and why ?
I think that my coral on the background of the game was my most successful art of my remake of the Moon Lander game. I like all the bright colours of the colour and I like the different types of coral and underwater animals that I incorporated into the foreground and used in my remake.

2) What aspect of your finished project do you find least successful and why ?
I found that my most least successful was the creation of the "ship", the octopus . I think the idea of octopus is a great idea but i think i could have put a little bit more detail into it. It has a lot of highlights and such but i think that when the octopus moved back and forth, I should have made it so that the tentacles moved back and forth. That would have been a great idea as well.

3) What do you like better about yours then the original ?
I like all the fun colours in my remake, compared to the original, because I think that it makes it a lot more entertaining then a regular boring game with bland colours. I also like how i incorporated the animals, such as fish, crabs and starfish going across the screen while you're playing to be obstacles. I also like how my remake is a little bit more difficult then the original.
